If you are not convinced God exist from our short presentation - Please visit Reasons To Believe. Reasons To Believe is a science-faith think tank providing powerful new reasons from science to believe in God. It is staffed by scientists with Ph.D.s that have expertise in such subjects as physics, astronomy and biochemistry. They scour scientific journals and present evidence from them that makes a convincing case that God exist. You can ask science or Bible related questions by calling their Apologetics Hotline at 1-626-335-5282, seven days a week, 5:00 - 7:00 PM Pacific Time. You can speak to their scientists (toll-free in the U.S.) at 1-866-RTB-RADIO (782-7234) Tuesdays, between 10:45 AM and 12:45 PM Pacific Time as part of their weekly Webcast. You can also E-mail your questions to CreationUpdate@reasons.org. You can listen and download podcast of archived webcast at Webcast Archive. Doctor Mark Whorton from the local Reasons To Believe chapter made these two presentations at Community Baptist:
Before our short presentation, permit us to make this clarification concerning references. References are third party secular sites. We are not connected to these sites in any way and do not control their content. We do not endorse these sites or any advertisements they may contain. In fact, while visiting one of these sites, we recommend you not click anything in an advertisement, not play any game there, and not respond to any prize you supposedly have won. We only provide these sites as reference.
We refer to three secular theories. We do not endorse these theories. We only refer to them because parts of them help in our proof. One of the theories refers to "a few millimeters across". One millimeter is approximately equal to 0.04 inches (1 millimeter = 0.0393700787 inches).
As a starting point, let us define what we mean by the word "nothing" in our twelve word question "Can something be created from nothing by natural means (excluding supernatural means)?" According to the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary, the first two definitions of "nothing" are: "not any thing : no thing" and "no part". As used here, "nothing" means no atoms or even a single subatomic particle. The scientific community does not have a plausible explanation of how life originated by natural means. If there were such an explanation, why would the “The Gene Emergence Project” of 113 Hedgewood Drive, Greenbelt, MD, a 501(c)3 science and education foundation, be offering the $1,000,000 Origin-of-Life Prize “... for proposing a highly plausible mechanism for the spontaneous rise of genetic instructions in nature sufficient to give rise to life.” “The Gene Emergence Project” has no religious affiliations of any kind. The papers submitted for the prize will be judged by nearly 200 judges from universities and institutes in over forty countries.
